T-Mobile Cell Phones and T-Mobile Cell Phones No Contract has teamed up with Fender guitars, bringing customers the new MyTouch Fender. This is a smartphone that, clearly with the ties to Fender Guitars, comes with an emphasis on guitars and music. For example, it has a classic Fender Guitar look on the back known as the sunburst finish. Yes, this is a nice, new No Contract Cell Phone that will definitely attract a certain audience but because it has a rich feature set it will attract from outside of that sphere as well.
There is more to this phone than just the Fender Guitar name and the sunburst finish. With it, customers also get a preloaded guitar application and popular songs from artists such as Eric Claption, Wyclef Jean, Brad Paisley and Avril Lavigne. Furthermore owners of this MyTouch will also receive a built-in music player, one which will allow users to make ringtones from the songs being played. It even has DoubleTwist software that will allow users to sync as well as manage music, photos and videos with a home computer. It comes with a Fender carrier case (I hope they look like a guitar case though I’m doubtful) and shells as well as a screen protector. A docking station with speakers is sold separately.
Using the Android software this phone is capable of Google Search, Google Maps with Street View, Picasa and Youtube. T-Mobile Cell Phones also states that currently this phone runs on the Android 1.6 but will be available for the 2.1 update in the spring time. Yes, this is clearly a phone with a rich feature set and it is also a phone we can appreciate for staking out a unique spot. Not only is it a music phone but it’s concentrated on the guitar specifically which is an interesting touch, no pun intended, and I will be interested to see whether it will spawn other music genre phones or other musical instrument phones. Can’t you picture a FunkyTouch or a JazzDroid or a DrumSung By Samsung? I know I can.
This is a cool idea and I love to see the innovation continue. Will it lead to the above stated phones or phones altogether different that endorse a TV show, a movie, a music label, a theatre production, a stand-up comedian, a cartoon, or any number of other things. Only time will tell but you can bet that this is not the last of it. Instead if you’re a betting man, I’d say this is the tip of the iceberg.

China is a country where the internet is still censored a lot. While turning a profit is no doubt the first goal for these companies, who could argue with helping open the doors to a secluded communist country? Seems like it would be quite gratifying, no? This a very encouraging sign not just for Google and those who use Android Devices but for China, too.
Disney Japan has come out with an idea to place Disney movies on MicroSD cards for purchase at the users’ convenience. The movies will be fully loaded onto the MicroSD Card at point of purchase and will be available and compatible for any terrestrial digital broadcasting handsets, also known as DVB-H. In addition they will able to be placed in your CDMA Cell Phones No Contract and car navigation systems, perfect for the kids in the car on a long road trip. Even some of the newest No Contract Cell Phones may not be compatible.
The hope is to launch at this very time. The genius behind this is of course that CDMA Cell Phones are gaining the technology to stream movies onto phones with the potential for rentals, too. However those you cannot own and if you do own a movie that it will take up a lot of space on the CDMA cell phones. Enter the Disney Japan movie MicroSDs. These will allow users to carry very portable movies with them that can be taken in and out of the cell phone at the users’ leisure. Clearly because this was done by Disney Japan, the movies will be by Disney. And this of course means that the movies will be mostly viewed by children. Now the kids can be involved in a cinematic adventure during long car rides and even while running errands around town. There is no limit to how these are used it is all about creativity.
